Another election?
Enjoy this witty poem full of colour written by Jan Millward about the pending general election!
Another election?
Another General Election, what are we going to do?
Do we want a change of colour or shall we stick with blue?
We could dabble with some yellow, but they probably won’t get in,
or have a play with purple who think colour is a sin.
And red is a bold alternative if you really want a change,
or opt for green organic and stay home on the range.
So many are like sparrows out to feather their own nest
full of fluff and promises, but no better than the rest.
And soon we will be watching those political debates
and wondering if we really have a say in our own fate.
I hate all of the arguing, the slander and the lies
the smell of propaganda has them buzzing just like flies.
I don’t know much about it, I may need time to think,
but if I have to choose a colour I would rather go with pink!
