A trolley romance
A trolley romance
I gave `er, the slip by the fish paste,
While she reached for the peas in the tin,
And I had feel of her ‘cocoa-pops’,
When she bent to put them in.
I hurried on past by the yoghurt,
But she lingered a while by herself,
So I fondled the ‘noodles’ suggestively,
( Then replaced them, on the shelf ).
I squeezed the satsumas, like always,
While my dear put the green apples in,
Then I stroked my bananas so gently,
While she rummaged around in the bin.
You see, I had learned from an expert,
Who always squashed bread on the shelf,
That you always must press, and stroke, and caress,
To see if it’s right for yourself.
