A Little Toe

A Little Toe

How can something so small
Cause so much pain
A throbbing toe
A cupboard to blame.

I wanted to go left
But my toe turned right
I jumped back and swore
No it wasn’t polite.

The toe jumps back
Leans on the rest
Looks abit different
Not looking it’s best.

Now it’s turned black
And twice the size
Not looking good
Won’t bend or rise.

Can’t blame the cupboard
Or the toe
If I’d only worn shoes
I’d be good to go.
