A flat roof bath

A flat roof bath

Every morning when it’s been raining
I’m woken with a splash
No I haven’t got a leak, yet!
It’s the birds called for a bath.

It wasn’t put there specially
But they do give it a name
I think they call it flat roof
And it holds a lot of rain.

They land then splash
Then spread there wings
Use the felt to scrub there feet
There queuing round the chimney
To get there daily treat.

We’re going to give the roof a slope
So the birds can have a slide
Landing on the gutter
Then queue for another ride.
