Do you sleep with your dog?Growing up our dog wasn't even allowed upstairs, never mind on the bed! However now that I'm a fully-fledged adult my dog sleeps on the bed between myself and my husband: they snore together in peaceful harmony!ViewDate:

Embracing my fifties.. are you?Good for you! Great to hear you're feeling so positive. I will be 50 next year, and can't say I'm feeling positive about it. I've 2 teenagers, plus husband, plus dog so am kept busy with them.ViewDate:

Will the Great British Bake Off survive on Channel 4?I can cope with the adverts - think Channel 4 is generally better than BBC which has become old and stuck in its ways. The show will survive as the format is unchanged, but it may take a while for their to be any genuine chemistry between the presenters. I feel we're not getting much of their personalities shining through yet. Love Noel though - he's a bit of a wild card and I feel he's liable to say something wickedly funny, and totally inappropriate, at any moment.ViewDate:

Shaun's Grandad on AutismVery heartfelt poem - concise and to the point. I work with children, some of whom have autism, and they are often very isolated.ViewDate:

Yippee-do-da-dayFunnily enough, I'm sure that I too will win the lottery one day - although it might help if I bought a ticket! Really enjoyed this poem, very entertaining and easy to relate to.ViewDate:

Would you want to take your dog on holiday with you if you could? We've had our lovely Monty 7 years, and this is the first year we've been abroad since getting him, and the first time we've holidayed without him. It was rather strange having no dog to worry about, but he hates hot weather so wouldn't have been happy in that environment anyway. We were lucky enough to have dog sitters so we knew he was happy too. We normally holiday in the UK and will only go to dog friendly places - wouldn't dream of going on a beach or a walk without the dog but I guess it depends what sort of holiday you have.ViewDate:

The best of Duran DuranOh my goodness what a blast from the past! When I was a teenager my bedroom wall was absolutely covered in Duran Duran posters - that and Paul Young! I still love the music though my two teenagers shriek with outrage if I ever try to play any of the music from the 1980s. Thank for this and all those videos - take me right back in time! Happy carefree days - except when I was moping around worrying about getting a boyfriend of course!ViewDate:

A New Title for the Swinging Sixties?Being educated during the 70s and 80s I was barely taught any grammar whatsoever. Fashions change however, and I now work with 10-11 year olds in junior school where the children are expected to learn very detailed grammar that certainly takes me out of my comfort zone. Of course, once they move on to secondary school they promptly forget most of what they have been taught - especially if they are texting or emailing - then it is all about speed and spelling and grammar goes out of the window.ViewDate:

How To Refuse To Be Invisible – by the-Bias-Cut.comFashion is aimed at the young, and the skinny! Since I am neither of these anymore, I remain unable to buy anything flattering - it is all so frumpy. I also do not have an income that supports expensive clothes, so they are definitely not an option. M&S have lost their way, Next seems to be aimed at a younger market. I used to quite like East but they all seem to be closing down.ViewDate:

Georgette Heyer's best booksWhilst I love all of Georgette Heyer's novels, my absolute favourite is Arabella, mainly because it was the first of her books that I ever read, at the tender age of 16. Three decades later and it still entertains me. Her books are my 'go-to' comfort reads, when I'm in need of something to cheer me up. -
