I like trains and am a volunteer on a local steam railway, I like Art and have drawn and painted all my life and am currently a member of a local art group, I enjoy traveling, reading and cycling in the good weather.

Is now the right time to hold a snap General Election?I voted Remain but accept that the outcome was to Leave and therefore feel we should get on with it and make the best of Brexit. Their seems to be so many remainers who are unwilling to accept the the democratic will of the people that we clearly need this election to give the Prime Minister a strong mandate to press on with it and get the best deal for the UK.ViewDate:

Should Parliament have the final say on Brexit?I have some sympathy with the view that parliament should have the final say on Brexit terms. However I also think that the EU would then be likely to make any the final terms so harsh and unacceptable in the hope that the UK parliament would be bound to reject them. Prolonging the process in he hope that the UK would then stay within the EU. I also think that in this case the British People have spoken and therefore that should over-rule the procrastination's of parliament. So Good Luck to Teresa May with this.ViewDate:

Brand new to the site todayIt's supposed to be the best place to live in the world but I guess it was an English man/woman who wrote that. I live in Bournville in Birmingham. Bournville is a "Garden Village" which was created towards the end of the 19th century by George Cadbury for the workers in his chocolate factory to live. it's quite nice.ViewDate:
