Now retired after working all over the place especially Africa. Don't travel much now as I am the sole carer for my wife who has parkinsons. Have border collie who helps to keep me sane. -

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hello Georgie Girl Like you I am new on here and live in the same area, my wife but has now has parkinsons which we have managed fine for years but has now reached end stage so I am her 24/7 carer. The actions of her family and friends has tended to make me lose faith in human nature as they have all kept their distance apart from our youngest daughter and her husband even though they both work full time and live some distance away they have been there for us, and still are all the way. Have never tried Reiki but have heard our other daughter who is a nurse talk about it . Certainly would like to know more about it as mental health nurse is due to see my wife later this weekViewDate:

Fibromyalgia in the over 50sHello Wpshark, I also care for my wife 24/7 she has Fibro as well as parkinsons and COPD. Due to interaction with her medication the only medication our doctor will prescribe is paracetamol four time a day. Some doctors are now advocating the use of cannabis but at the moment its not available lViewDate:

Insufficient seating for weary shoppersNot being as nimble as I used be, have had that trouble with cashiers then I vote with my feet and shop somewhere else. Best cashiers I find are at Waitrose, Sainburys and the worse at AldiViewDate:

I would like to make new friends for general conversation onlyHello Annia, I am 78 and also lived in Southern Africa for many years, until four years ago often went on holiday to Fish Hoek or Port Alfred. Now 24/7 carer for my wife who has parkinsons and COPD. Miss the African life style very much and would still be there but returned in response to pressure for family, not that we see much of them still parkinsons struck.ViewDate:
