Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?I am unsure on this , plus the fact they have ignored e-petitions such as leave the Eu on 31st October without a deal which has reached over 174,000 signatures to date , which should be a debate but public are ignored or is it self before serviceViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsThe House of Lords proposals to abolish the free bus pass ,and also the over 75 TV licence also included in there plan is to get pensioners with incomes above the tax threshold to pay tax on the Winter Fuel Allowance , there is a relevant government e-petition in relation to the above plus the house of lords proposals are available remember the House of Lords is a cross party , so someone like Gordon Brown who introduced the free across England bus pass is now opposing his idea when ChancellorViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?Although still 71 , it should still be retained to add insult to other petitions , The House Of Lords are also trying to abolish it along with bus passes see this e-petaton. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/259179?fbclid=IwAR1fTNedDFIqtqRasLeguGWAfTS9b0dmtoOS01u8i2bePgZDiwslp8owxHIViewDate:

Do you think St George’s Day and St David’s should be made national holidays?AS the Irish already have St Patricks Day as a national Holiday, similar for St Andrews in Scotland as wellViewDate:

Cilla the MusicalReplying to my own post, anyway I went yesterday to see Cilla the Musical at the Milton Keynes Theatre . It equals a similar show I have seen "Motown the Musical" as regards to its story. Best on the ITV 3 part story about Cilla, the stage version does try to follow the TV storyline. It has a fantastic ending , with many songs not featured in the TV programme. But one bonus, if he could be cast as a person who keeps it all together , the actor who played Ringo in the TV programme appears in the show in a slightly different role, but he does drumming on the non Beatles sets in the stage show. Its also worthy of West End as well, although its on a UK Tour..ViewDate:

Alcohol dependencyI am a member of CAMRA , but since I have been diagnosed with Diabetes 2 , I have cut back. How did I get found out, I had been working a beer festival and tried 39 different beers , and had a blood test at my surgery , the result to what would have been a basic health check meant that health check could not be done , so I had see one of practice nurses who then prescribed metformin tablets for the diabetes I have a blood test level of around 6.8%. I still enjoy the odd beer but not large amounts, the diabetes made me rethink about things due to high sugar levels in alcoholic drinks.ViewDate:

Being AloneI am single , but although alone and never married , I have found myself taking various directions to relax away from my flat. I go at least 3 times a week to Bicester via Buckingham the only way at present on the bus, I have also through getting to know other passengers , who board at villages between my town and Buckingham , and have got chatting on first name basis . The other I was involved with a local U3A but it did not appeal to me. Today, I go to see shows have weekends away or in some cases a week, although a local tour operator, if not people on the coach from where I live as its a localish operator you soon start chatting on the coach or at your destination through your meals in the Hotel or on a day trip which might be part of the coach trip intinary.ViewDate:

Neil SedakaI went to see Beautiful at the Aldwych a few months back , and was surprised that a cast member or ensemble as its used today, sang Oh Carol at the beginning of this Carol King musical the bloke was spitting image of Neil SedakaViewDate:

Re-connecting with someone I met on a short break at a HotelReflecting back on this I will treat as one of those meetings , where you by chance talk to each other , but go your separate ways. I still enjoy friendship mainly based on a penfriend type of thing, meet ups can happen and have by accident locally, this happened through a Saga Zone social in Banbury talking in Hotel lobby after having a group lunch. What are your favourite travel destinations and why?I enjoy the Uk , having been abroad via HM Forces etc, its great to see the greenness of these islands. my favourite parts are in the countryside , but like Yorkshire mainly North Yorkshire and bits of West Yorkshire. Favourite destination is Harrogate. I now enjoy going on coach trips to parts of the UK, Some of which the organiser does Mystery one or two night stopovers going to all points of the compass based on Banbury , but I live across the border in South Northants, which he caters for. Silversurfers Dating SiteI have started to use the Silversurfers dating site , it was surprising to see the previous dating site Saga Connection's I had been on allowing me to duplicate my application from one to other. I also noticed on the local area choice this was also duplicated. If you are also on other magazine related dating sites they all seem to match one another as to choice. For example , you may contact someone who you think is a user of the Silversurfers site ,and not get a response as they subscribe to one of the other sites. I foolishly have paid for a year , but will withdraw everything coming up to the time of renewal it shows how farcical things are.ViewDate:

The Motown SoundThe sound is still great a moral booster , even some of the rarer records are good. My all time favourite is Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston It Takes Two followed by some hits of the 4 tops.ViewDate:

Being Single but enjoy female companyI find myself with those I have met, the coffee or tea is a proffered option chosen, on a 1st meet. In some cases kissing came next, but I enjoy the company more than anything and if its more local to where I live the better for me. My downside I am not a car owner, so rely on bus travel.
