Blue or Burgundy passports? Is this just another way of making money I wonder? How much are the Government going to charge for changing to blue? Leave it alone. We know who we are.ViewDate:

GP's to open 7 days a weekI wouldn't mind this at all. I find it increasingly difficult to see my GP. My doctor has a walk-in surgery and this is what the receptionists advocate at all times. The last time I did this, I waited over 2 hours. Because I absolutely insisted this time, I was finally given an appointment - for 3 weeks time!ViewDate:

Refugees from CalaisWrite and go see your MP instead of posting on this site. They're the ones we have voted in and they're the ones who can change this. Peer pressure. Works everytime.ViewDate:

Should Trump quit now? What I cannot understand is why only these two people are running for the most powerful job in the world. Most Americans don't seem to want to vote for either so why oh why hasn't someone else tried for the job? Is America so tightly run by politics that only those voted in by either the Republicans or Democrats can run? Is there anyone knowledgeable with the US political system that can enlighten me?ViewDate:

London zooI think they are safer where they are. Well fed and looked after by caring people. The wild is just that. Even though there are dedicated people going out and about every day lots of animals still end up dead, adorning someone's mantlepiece or pieces of them being bought in one of China's 'medicine markets'. It's big business. I do think that chimps shouldn't be put on view though. The ones I have seen definitely do not enjoy being stared at. Would you?ViewDate:

Grumpy cornerCan't stand reality "stars" and the ridiculous money they earn. For example Kim Kardashian and the like. I know she has been burgled of millions of pounds worth of jewels (I'm obviously in the wrong job) but cannot feel sorry for a woman who names her children South West and North West.ViewDate:

My brain hurtsNo Celtwitch, that's just you. I go to bed and try and dream of a tall dark handsome guy (a rich one would be acceptable) who is going to sweep me off my feet. Whilst I'm still on them that is and before I have to use a walking frame. :)ViewDate:

Pruning Advice pleaseDepends on which lavender you have. The traditional English type of lavender and its hybrids, which have long spikes of flowers in June and July, want a light, all-over clipping as soon as the flowers are over – avoid cutting back into old wood if you possibly can. Lavandula stoechas cultivars start flowering in May, and these only want regular deadheading – removing each of the big knobbly dead flowers complete with a short stalk as soon as they go over, but leaving the rest of the plant untouched. Got this info from the expert that is Alan Titchmarsh.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Sorry for my delay in replying. Still bumbling my way around this site and not making a good job of it. About your train journey to the Baltic, I don't really know but thought it may be too expensive for me as it seems train journeys are now so pricey. Then there would be accommodation and food and seeing all the sites would be a must. A little different from a package hol to Spain maybe?ViewDate:

What was the thing you NEVER did in your life, but wish you had?I was a £10 Pom. I was hell bent on going with a sister and her husband then at the last moment, they decided not to go. As I have another sister in Aussie, my parents let me go alone but as there were other kids going alone too, we were all put in groups and had a minder. Unfortunately, having wanderlust as I grew up, I decided to come back. Big mistake. Everyone has regrets and I suppose that's one of mine but at least I ended up with a fantastic son and grandson.ViewDate:

How Do Single Retired People Not Become Isolated And Alone?Hi, how about joining a scrabble club. Lots of these going on at local libraries. If there isn't one, start one. I did. If scrabble isn't your thing, walking clubs are popular (don't forget your brolly, after all - this is England!). You've already made a start by joining this club and you could always have a coffee morning and invite those of us living nearby. Worth a shot.ViewDate:

Should smokers, drinkers, drug users and obese people be charged to see the doctor?Should smokers, drinkers, drug users and obese people be charged. Well, in my opinion, the smokers and drinkers couldn't afford to pay because all their money is going on ciggies and alchohol. Same with the druggies and fat people. Most drug users and alchoholics don't work anyway so any money paid would have already been given them by the taxpayer. So, what do we do with them Jeanmark? Leave them to stew in their own juice because it's their own fault?ViewDate:

Should smokers, drinkers, drug users and obese people be charged to see the doctor? The NHS was created out of the ideal that good healthcare should be available to all, regardless of wealth. When it was launched by the then minister of health, Aneurin Bevan, on July 5 1948, it was based on three core principles: that it meet the needs of everyone that it be free at the point of delivery that it be based on clinical need, not ability to pay These three principles have guided the development of the NHS over more than 60 years and remain at its core. If you want to start changing all of this in bits and pieces then get rid of the NHS altogether. Let's go back to the Dark Ages.ViewDate:

Do you think Camilla should be crowned queen?I thought we would have moved on since 1937 and Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson. Good to remember that they were happily married for over 35 years. Princes have had mistresses since time began so that's nothing new. Diana was not snow white herself if truth be told but the marriage seemed wrong from the very first so it's a pity it ever took place. However,it did and time moves on so I think that as Camilla seems to make Charles so happy and fits in so well with the Family, then let it happen. It will be William and Kate's turn soon enough.ViewDate:

Blocking cold callsFound the following recommended by Which. BT 8610 – from £50 This is BT’s top-of-the-range model, specifically designed to protect against unwanted nuisance calls. The call-blocking features are the best you can get without buying a separate call-blocking device. The built-in ‘Call Guardian’ feature actually uses the same technology as TrueCall call blockers, automatically screening your calls to catch out nuisance callers. You can also choose certain types of numbers to block (eg withheld or international diallers) or blacklist specific numbers at the touch of a button. There’s a do-not-disturb mode to prevent all callers from getting through, although all of the call-blocking features allow you to specify a whitelist of permitted numbers. BT 6610 – from £45. This phone lets you block up to 100 specific numbers, which can be handy if you’ve identified persistent nuisance callers. It can optionally be set to block any anonymous or international numbers from reaching you. This should block many call centres that hide their caller ID or call from overseas but, as with the BT 8610, you can add contacts to a whitelist so that they’ll always be able to get through to you.ViewDate:

The 60s ... What did like best about the 60s?Remember the “Ten Pound Pom” scheme for an assisted migration scheme that operated in Australia after World War II? I was one of the children who went on it. There were 6 girls and 6 lads and we had a ball. No parents, no family - only a minder who didn't seem to mind what we did at all! Didn't want to get off the ship. Why oh why did I come back? -
