What are your favourite travel destinations and why?My wife and I love to Malta too, the first time I went was in 1954 before onward transmission to Cyprus it was round about Christmas time and we had landed for a few days and the locals thought we were mad because we went swimming in the sea, but later on after we got married my wife and I spent 18 months there I even bought a Vespa scooter which we used to to the island it was so different in those days, no motorways etc. We have been since a few times quite recently and was amazed at the changes but this is still the favourite place for us and had we been much younger would have bought a house thereViewDate:

The Royal family is part of our history which once upon a time we were proud of I would agree that there are hangers on in royalty and should be cast out, they are the ones which I'm sure you all know that are draining part of our taxes.ViewDate:

Suspension from worki was a union rep when i worked and the usual procedure was 2 verbal warnings and a written one unless it was a serious case of stealing etc,i take it you are not in a union but you could phone A.C.A.S and ask them for advice .ViewDate:

Introducing myselfhi Dolly and Wilf,thanks for your comments,yes it's a good idea to have a scrapbook,i had loads of photo's and newspaper cuttings once but thru the years they have been lost,which is a shame cos i could have put them with my story.i did do a family tree which was interesting work but it got to so many people in the end i had to give up.Maybe i should start again and carry on where i left off now i have plenty of time on my hands.take care and good luck :-)ViewDate:

Stroke after effectshello Irisheyes i had a stroke 2 years ago and now i can't walk so i'm housebound if it wasn't for my laptop i could be the same i guess,can you get him interested in pc,there is so much you can do on here besides socialising,i am 80 years old and still manage to remain cheerful but i must admit i do have a power nap in the afternoon lol but seriously don't stop loving him and try not to argue.life can be hard when you are an invalid,i'm lucky myself that my wife and i have been married 55 years.anyway good luck for the future >>>ArthurViewDate:

Birdwatching tips for beginnersi love to watch birds in the garden,but for the last 2 years they seem to have vanished,i put food on the bird tray but the pidgeons eat it all and we have magpies in the area but nothing smaller tho i have nests etc,water but doesn't encourage any,and i am so disappointed.have you any ideas of what i can do?ViewDate:
