Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?Postge is too expensive now. Also, I would rather give a donation to charity as the cards generally get throw out after ChristmasViewDate:

Practical tips for living with arthritisI purchased SALONPAS pain patches and find that they work really well. They are not expensive and easy to use. (lasts up to 12 hours) You could also try heat wraps that are designed for hands/wristsViewDate:

Is it too soon for Easter eggs to go on sale?Whilst I agree that selling Easter eggs just after Christmas is ridiculous, they have been lying in the stockrooms of all the big stores for some time! I used to work in Woolworths and in the week(s) running up to Christmas the eggs would be rolling in (excuse the pun). I recall being told that the majority of suppliers- whether it be Easter, Halloween, Christmas, they all worked approx 6 months in advance. I think a lot of people would be surprised at how many eggs would be purchased just after Christmas!ViewDate:

Are Boxing Week sales worth the effort? So many companies/shops now start their sales before Christmas day. From what I have seen in quite a few shops, it seems to be the remnants from the summer sale or whatever they have lying around in their stock rooms that could not be sold that comes back out again! I remember 40 years ago my (ex) husband queued all night outside the House of Fraser to purchase a carpet which we had been looking at for weeks. He did get it at an extremely good price and we were delighted with it . Sales are just not "proper" sales any more sadly.ViewDate:

How to keep lost loved ones alive at ChristmasI lost my beloved husband 15 months ago and the pain stays with me every day. I am finding the run up to Christmas this year just as hard as I did last year. Last Christmas was just a blur to me, I went through the motions for the sake of my grandchildren who were excited about the visit from Santa, but inside I was churning up at the thought of having to pretend everything was all right. To be perfectly honest, all I wanted to do was curl up in bed and cry. This year I have been trying harder to accept invitations to go out, but inside, my heart is just broken and weary of trying to be "happy". I doubt the pain will ever go away, but like everyone else in this situation, we have to accept what has happened and learn to live with the pain. I hope you all find the comfort you are looking for this Christmas.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year? This will be the first year I will not be sending Christmas cards. My husband passed away very suddenly at the beginning of September and as we draw ever nearer to Christmas, the more I dread the whole thing. I will give cards to my close family as it is a tradition but the Royal Mail will not be receiving any monies from me for postage. The cost of stamps these days are extortionate so no more sending of cards for me.ViewDate:

Tips for keeping heart healthyI'm not convinced by your article. I am very recently bereaved after my husband died from a fatal heart attack. For the last year and a half, he had been extremely healthy going to the gym for up to 2 hours every day. He had lost over 3 stones in weight, had stopped smoking many years ago, and was the fittest he had ever been. The medical profession were very happy with his condition and were talking about taking him off both the HBP tablets he took. I don't understand how this happened- the doctors were not concerned about his health as he was in great shape, yet he took a massive heart attack and died :(ViewDate:

Win 1 of 10 copies of the iconic Dairy Book of Home CookeryI loved mine :) Obviously a lot of us are going to be unlucky and not win, but............ you can buy them off E Bay. My daughter found it whilst looking for something else, and was so excited she found the same one as mine, she ordered it! Mine was also falling to bits so I ordered a replacement as well. Good lucky everyone x -
