I am a retired business woman who is passionate about volunteering. Presently I volunteer as a Counsellor on a Crisis Line and visit at an aged care facility. I enjoy studying the Spanish language, dressmaking, crocheting and vegetarian cooking. I put a lot of energy into my blog www.retireandenjoy.com which connects me with many people. -

My children never visit me - am I being unreasonable?I'm afraid it's a sad truth that our children find it hard to make time to visit. They don't realise how much we would love to see them and think we are being cranky if we say anything. I've given up stressing about it and keep in contact on Skype and the occasional e-mail or text.ViewDate:

Hello, I am new to this site so just finding my way around.Hi - I live in Australia too (Victoria). When I retired I went to Mexico, stayed with a Mexican family in a place called Oaxaca and attended a Spanish School there. Learning a language is a wonderful experience if somewhat challenging. If you want a really good on-line course you could try Rocket Languages. I did their Spanish Course which has all levels and great learning material.
