Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Derek here. Born in Falconwood, Kent, 67 years ago. Lived in France, Portugal, Australia and now Japan. Retired as a publisher of newspapers, trade journals, magazines and industry directories for the Australian government. Now keeping busy with a small English language school (about 50 Japanese students of all ages), in Sapporo, Japan. Sapporo is in the Hokkaido prefecture, Japan's northernmost island. We endure long winters with deep snow from December to the end of March and share the island with bears, Sika deer, raccoon dogs, foxes, seals and a variety of birds. Spring summer and autumn are just beautiful. -
