Redbird's bio
Met my husband on the 'lonely hearts' and have been happily married for 17 years. I have 4 little dogs, 2 Norfolk Terriers and 1 Yorkshire Terrier, and 1 Yorkshire terrier puppy (9 months) which keeps me busy. Where I live is semi- rural which is nice, but we live on the Grampian snowbelt so can be snowed in, in the winter! -

Man Cave!I am a lady but I can understand the 'CAVE' . I have a 'CRAFT ROOM' Just the same, with items I may, or may not use again, and pictures Robert does not care for to be in the rest of our home. But the place is mine and my retreat from the world. I really enjoyed the poem, more please Mick!ViewDate:

Looking to re-home a small dogThank you so much for your replies, it helps when people understand. I wish I could stop crying so much but I know it is part of grief and adds meaning to the life he had. He was my first dog ever, my other dogs are okay, good dogs, but Jeeves was special.ViewDate:

Looking to re-home a small dogMonday, my wonderful 14. 5 year old Norfolk Terrier Jeeves was put to sleep. He had 2 strokes and lost the power in all his legs. I have had him since he was an 8 week old pup. He was full of life until Sunday lunchtime, was running in the local woods that morning. Now he has gone and left a big hole in my heart. I am heartbroken.ViewDate:

Which activity do you find most restful?Rest? What is that? Can I have some please? Don't get any, or very little. I work harder now than I did before I 'retired'. I have 4 dogs, (accumulated) and being a sucker for punishment I take in other peoples when they go on holiday! Also I am a carer for my husband who has cancer. Sooo, all my hobbies are on the back burner, too tired for my hour of reading at bedtime now, asleep soon as my head reaches the pillow!! But hey! I'm alive, and life is beautiful! AND, we live in the garden of Eden, how lucky are we?ViewDate:

Make your own dog treatsThe dog biscuits sound easy to make but the ingredients make them sound tasteless.( Sounds like baked porridge.) I would be inclined to add minced beef or lamb heart, for the strength of flavour.ViewDate:

Should an immediate ban on microbeads in toiletries be imposed? My 85 years young husband has used charcoal to clean his teeth for years. (He opens a capsule onto an old saucer) Then he dips his brush in it. His teeth are lovely and white, and all his own!ViewDate:

Have you tried HRT?I was on HRT for 18 years and my doctor decided to take me off it. Within 2 weeks I has lost my labido and had literally 'dried up'. Being intimate became a painful nightmare. I began to feel old and depressed. After suffering for 2 months I went on line and bought the same HRT that I had been taking. Unfortunately I never got my labido back but am now a healthy human being again and fit as a flea! At my time, 71, quality of life is more important than quantity! -
