TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi Monica I'm sorry I have not replied to you sooner. Like you walking is my passion and I usually walk around seven or eight miles. I live on the edge of the welsh mountains so can literally walk from the front door! I have to admit that I am in my late seventies but fit. I belong to two walking groups and have friends both girls and boys with ages between about 55 and 75. Each year we go as a group to some travel destination, nearer to home this year for a second visit to the Isle of Man to walk the coastal footpath, about 45 miles of it's 95. Last year to the Austrian Tyrol, New Zealand before that and the Canaries ( Fuerteventura ) Mostly we are small groups doing these from three up to eight of us and come mainly from Southern England and South Wales. Present plans are a either a holiday to either La Gomera or La Palma In the canaries alternatively winter walking in Austria. Let me know your whereabouts you are in the uk you are and perhaps a meetup with some of us could be arranged. David.ViewDate:

Do you have your milk delivered by a Milkman?Have had milk delivered to our welsh countryside retreat for the past 39 years. This is for two pints on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week and delivered from our local farmer in a truck. It is a bit dearer than supermarket milk but tastes better!ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Good to hear from you. Sorry our present group is for self organised touring but not cruises. We have made many trips down under being mainly to NZ mainly for walking or tramping as they call it. Also round the world five times. I have been to OZ and NZ some sixteen times with from one to four companions of both sexes mainly on a four to six week trip. These found from being a member of uk walking clubs and two websites, one for companions to travel with and the other for retired backpackers. One of those is now defunct and the other hoping to survive. Our recent week in the Isle of man makes for a change for and we have visited Islands in Europe such as the Azores, Madeira, Fuerteventura, the channel islands. Currently there are plans to have a weekend at Arundel next month to socialise and do some short walks. Any silversurfers are welcome to come along.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Sorry. I am wanting for a group of companions rather than one. Having meetups to socialise with potential companions and perhaps join or setup a small of them to go on holiday with. I have been doing this for the last 15 years and found many friends to travel with.ViewDate:

Your Ultimate Travel CompanionHello Lorri I see that you wish to find potential travel companions and wonder if you mean a single companion or a small group? I am hoping to find companions to form a small mixed travel group rather than a single one. You can see my proposal for this posted on the forum. DavidViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?I am looking for travel companions up to about six in number to travel with. This year so far I have got together a group of five to go to the Isle of Man for a week for some walking and sightseeing. The group composition was three girls and two boys including myself. We all came from from different parts of the uk due to contacts with members of travelling companions found from other websites. Activities include meetups to socialise and form small group holidays which so far have been to a number of worldwide destinations. If you are interested in socialising and possibly finding others to travel with it would be good to hear from you. David
