I was in the same situation, my sons father and new wife were invited, I was not neither was my husband, I am so hurt as he was my youngest son, not a day goes by that I don't think about it, my sons have always been disrespectful to me as their father, used to tell me that I was mad and crazy, I am a nurse but went to university to gain the bachelor's degree, then left his father as I learned in lectures , what marital abuse was all about and I was a victim to it , I realized I was a human being who mattered, in my sons eyes this was wrong that I wanted to better my employement chances and do a job I dreamed of for years, this was resented, now my sons have a couldnt care less attitude to me , and fawn over their father, is it their fathers influence over them what they were taught , I don't know except I feel like crying a lot, when I think of them, my dil, was always aloof towards me, I was going to spain for a holiday and asker her did she want a leather handbag as a present she said no, I will get my own, I cannot understand them, can anyone help me to try to understand them please,
