I thought it had been written by a family member but when I checked it was by a local lady poet called Yvonne Mattocks. Apparently her poem was read out at the ceremony for the unveiling of the statue. I'd love to see her poem featured on Silversurfers but I don't know whether Yvonne is a member.ViewDate:
