Do you own an electric car?On reading the comments below I find many of them ill informed . Most people I speak to who have negative comments have not done any homework on an EV and are usually parroting misinformation they have heard , The benefits of running an EV far outweigh the costs of an ICE car in terms of running costs, pollution, and the pleasure of driving a quiet and advanced vehicle. People once said the computer would never catch on !!!! watch out the Jetsons !!!ViewDate:

Do you own an electric car?where are these pot holes ?? please don't generalize.! The battery doesn't need replacing for 12 - 15 years and no servicing is required, no brake pads no oil changes so adding up all that plus petrol over 15 years . An EV owner is well ahead in costs. The newer batteries will have a life span of 20-30 years longer than the life of an car !!! EV's are getting cheaper . They are also quieter and non polluting .ViewDate:

Do you own an electric car?Damage to the roads is negligible. Mining for anything is damaging oil gas iron gold etc etc. I could go on. EVs are not polluting the environment and brake dust is not going in to the atmosphere . People are always scared of the unknown best to find out the facts.ViewDate:

Do you own an electric car?Batteries used to cost a fortune but not any more the price is coming down and the battery life is 10-15 years but newer batteries will be 20 to 30 years longer than the life of a car. An engine would have to be replaced before the battery !!! New Lithium deposits are being found all the time the latest in Bolivia . (people weren't looking before). The lithium and all other materials can be recycled . How is Lithium any more damaging to the environment than petroleum products ? Look at the app plug share you will see a multitude of charging stations even in the remotest parts. Petrol stations are starting to put in charging stations. Charging at home with solar costs very little . We have travelled across Australia and back cost about $450 . in a year since returning home we haven't forked out a cent.
