I'm still finding it strange, just browsing and potentially commenting on something I see that looks interesting.....I'm a well brought up girl and it feels a bit like either reading over someone's shoulder or just plain interrupting!.Also, some of the exchanges I've read have reminded me why I gave up on Facebook a while ago, sometimes aggressive, angry or even toxic. Re-socialisationHello again. My instinct was to escape. Narcissists cannot relinquish control and will always try to find a way to draw you back in. It was only once I'd found the strength and the means to leave that I started to heal. I think I have recovered in a way but I'm afraid the darkness of the whole experience has left me unable/unwilling to have another serious relationship. I'm fiercely independent and determined that no-one( apart from my children, now grown up) will ever get their hands on my front door key. I have heard of Sam Vaknin but haven't read his book about malignant self love. For a while after I left, I was a bit obsessive about finding out more about narcissism. I'm over that now! However I'm really, really happy to offer support to anyone who is still enmeshed. If you'd prefer to private message - not sure how to do that but happy to try. This is a bit public! Stay strong. Morning from a silver-surfing Yorkshire lass who is spending too many days not speaking to anyone - but the walls.Hi! I'm a retired teacher, also finding lockdown tricky, also talking to walls.... I'm lucky that I have a sister bubble and two fabulous children who are in good touch and keep me sane so I know I should be grateful.....but these are strange times! I'm in a Book Group( obviously we haven't actually met now for nearly a year) love to read, have a passion for the Tudors and when it was legal, loved to swim... I only have a small courtyard garden but I try to make it productive. Sometimes, the lockdown evenings can be tedious no matter how determined/self sufficient one tries to be! Sending best wishes.. I'm not surprised you've mislaid your mojo( this is temporary I'm sure) a narcissist drains you of most things in life which are positive. Good luck to you.x -
