Julie Wick's bio
Retired. I like walking, swimming, reading, and all sorts of music especially from the 60s and 70s. I like crosswords but not particularly good. I'm rubbish at technology but I'm having a go. I like meeting up with friends for a catch up. -

New here and finding my way aroundHi Lunastar My joint activities: keepfit and rambling groups have started back up. It's just nice to be in contact with people again and to meet people for coffee or lunch.ViewDate:

Music Taste - I love Country songs - what about you?I like all types of music, mainly 60s and 70s pop. But as long as its music that I like, then I'll listen and sing along to it, rather badly though!ViewDate:

Kinda lost - is it too late to start again at 65?I agree with you Lakejinny. I'm 67 and left a relationship in May after 18 years. I also miss the social side but I'm trying to keep busy and build a social life of my own. I find evenings the loneliest. Hope things get better for you.ViewDate:

Just feeling lonelyHello Joy, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so sad after losing your sister. You can chat to me if you wish. I am now living on my own and it can be so lonely at times. I'm trying to keep focused and busy. My daughters are busy with their lives but do see me or contact me. And I have a few friends in a walking group I belong to.ViewDate:

WALKING!!!Helo Yogafan, I love walking too. I live in Essex and belong to a walking group. We try to do riverside walks when weather allows. I've been to Cornwall several times and I'm always in awe of the beauty of the places.ViewDate:

Looking to make new friendsHi Dee, I'm fairly new to this as well. How have you been during lockdown? At least a bit of freedom seems to be in sight. I'll be going to visit family that I haven't seen in months. Have you any plans?ViewDate:

Friendly chatYes walking groups do seem to be a senior thing. But enjoyable when the weather is nice. We didn't walk today, it was too wet. 3 of us just met for coffee and chat. You made me laugh with the comment about your granddaughter. My eldest daughter lives in Cumbria and has 3 children; it's always bedlam there. My youngest girl has a 9 month old boy and lives near me in Essex.ViewDate:

Friendly chatMy main interest is walking. I belong to a walking group who meet weekly and another who do a Half Ramble round this area once a month. I belong to a local history group which is starting back up again now that Covid restrictions have been eased. Suprising to find out what's on your doorstep. Other than reading that's about it. I look after my grandson once a week which is my favourite interest. I agree with you about the weather. Hope it gets better so you can enjoy more rounds of golf.ViewDate:

Friendly chatHi John, thanks for taking time to reply. How are you? Are you finding your way round this site ok? I'm not very technically minded and I very nearly gave up. I haven't done much today except cut the grass before the next deluge of rain comes over. I can't believe it's going to be the longest day tomorrow. This year seems to be flying by. I've not been here long but the neighbours are friendly which makes things a lot easier. Be nice to hear from you.ViewDate:

Hi folks anyone fancy some genuine friendship?Hi Hannah, I've just joined and looking for friendly chats. I live in the UK in Essex and have just moved house but still in same town. I'm 67 year old woman and on my own but the neighbours here are really friendly which makes things a bit easier. My eldest daughter came down for the weekend from Cumbria to see me and my other daughter who lives nearby. I like country walks, keep fit, reading, meeting old colleagues and friends for coffee or lunch, Covid permitting that is I find the evenings are the loneliest without anyone to share a conversation with. If you, or anyone else wants to chat, that will be good.ViewDate:

Chats with friendsHello Everyone Just signed on. I'm new to this I can sympathise with comments about Covid. I'm so fed up with my own company, I'm getting on my own nerves! Been on some lovely walks and skyped daughters, grandchildren and friends which has been nice. I'm in the UKs tier 4 which means no mixing of households. I suppose a lot of us are in the same boat. Anyway, enough of me. How are all of you? -
