everoptimistic's bio
I am happily retired and now volunteer at my local museum. I am a researcher. My partner and I, and our border terrier divide our time between England and West Wales. My family live close to me in England. I enjoy walking the dog, reading, meditation and Mindfulness colouring books. Since lockdown number 1 I have become addicted to online courses. Future Learn they are great. -

Should there be a relaxation of restrictions for the Christmas period?Restrictions should not be eased over Christmas. People will not adhere to the guidelines, the NHS will be overwhelmed and the whole country will again be in lockdown.ViewDate:

Should there be an upper age limit to be a US Presidential candidate?I volunteer in a museum that is totally dependant upon its volunteers. The vast majority are over 70 years of age. In 2012, Queen Elizabeth visited Hitchin, the location of the British Schools Museum, to present The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service to the Museum. Some of the volunteers who were presented with the award are still here 8 years later, age has not withered those stalwarts.ViewDate:

Silversurfers Book Club Autumn 2020I have just finished reading The Thursday Murder Club. I enjoyed it but I am not sure it merited the hype surrounding the publication. It was rather convoluted in places and some of the characters became a little tiresome.ViewDate:

Silversurfers Book Club Autumn 2020I really enjoyed this book. However, most of the comments/reviews in the media seemed more concerned with cultural appropriation than the content. How far back do we go with cultural appropriation. Shakespeare wasn't Danish so should he have written Hamlet? -
