AnnieLaurie's bio
Hi. I am Canadian, from Southwestern Ont.. I'm on my own and finding COVID's isolation difficult and lonely. I'm sure there are other seniors out there who feel the same way thus I am trying this site. I like to read, write, journal, learn, think and ponder deeper things, I love dogs, and nature. And most of all I love Jesus. I have a solid faith in Him and His Word but not in a critical crazy fanatical way. As best as I can I try to live a life, and have a mindset of, grace and compassion. I'm also learning and experiencing that getting older is not for sissies and that smiles go a long way. Warmly, AnnieLaurie -

Breed Questions - was I scammed?Hi Cara. I'm from Canada and have never heard of a black mouth Cur. It's not in my North American dog books. But I have had 2 Spaniels, one an Amercian Cocker, the other a Brittany. My Brittany was a pure bred, liver and white, with the liver looking more brownish to me. They also come in black and white, and tricolour. I also had a pure bred Australian Shepherd and now have a 50/50 of Black Tricolour Australian Shepherd and Yellow Lab. Interestingly you can't see any lab in her appreance at all but I feel part of her temperment reveals the nature of a lab. So all I can say is that, just as with people, you never know for sure what traits and characteristics are going to pop up from the past to give your pet perhaps a special look of its own. Just from talking to other dog owners in the general public if I ask what breed their dog is ( if it isn't obvious) the answer they give me sometimes sounds dubious. Sometimes its what they themselves have guessed or other times its what others have told them, including what the puppy's human parents may have told them. People can come out with some crazy ideas sometimes... on purpose or not. I suppose the best way, although it's not absolutely fool proof, and depends on the company used, is a doggie DNA test. It might offer some fun and interesting insights. P.S. you mentioned you couldnt find anything on google about this mix . I personally don't know if they are an "offical" mix or a popular unofficial mix, but many "mixes" are not planned or they can be something a human just wanted to put together just to see what the result would be like. What's your boy's name? Can you send a picture? I bet he's cute! Enjoy!ViewDate:

Hello from Canada!Hi Mike. This is my first step into chat rooms. I'm AnnieLaurie. I am interested in connecting with Canadians. Perhaps eventually single men in their late 60's to early 70's in southwestern Ont. but for now it's just good to talk with a fellow Canadian. I'm down the road in London Ont.. I LOVE Canada.! It's my home. My background is mostly English and Scottish. My grandmother came over from England as a little girl at age about 10 around 1912. She made a friend in her new country an school and ended up marrying that girls boirether when she was about 17 and he about 21. He had been born in canada in 1890's. I don't know how I got on this topic it just came to mind. Perhaps I should also seek out people from Britain and discuss my english heritage. Anyway, this is a start. See where it goes from there. Nice chatting with you. Now I've gotten my toes wet! : ) What is your heritage? Where were you born? -
