Step back in time: to 1961The song I remember most from 1961 is Big Bad John. I can vividly remember sitting on my mum‘s knee in the front of our car (with no seatbelt on in those days) and that coming on the radio. I used to play with model Cowboys and Indians on horses, Beatnik dolls and loved skipping and playing pretend shops. I loved that era.ViewDate:

What to do when we retireHi I have just written my first blog and it’s all about retirement. It was very daunting when I first finished work as there was no structure to my day but gradually things have changed and I now can’t imagine going back to work. See my blog at https://magspots2.wixsite.com/retirementglory I would love to hear from people re other ideas for things to do during this special timeViewDate:

My MotherSorry to hear that. It was last October for me and it still seems quite raw. Luckily, as well as having her on some video footage, I also recorded one of her telephone messages and so it’s nice to hear her voice from time to time xViewDate:

Should a gingerbread man become a gingerbread person? It is getting beyond a joke. Political correctness is fine and often needed in the right context but for things like this, does anyone really care? It has all gone over the top now.ViewDate:

Do you think Camilla should be crowned queen?I think that Charles should definitely not be passed over when the time comes. After all, he has trained for the job all of his life. If Camilla is happy to take the title of Consort, that would probably be best although I, personally, wouldn't mind if she became Queen. Didn't Henry VIII set a precedent? -
