Plan a caravan holidayThere are campsites in the UK that suit every type of person. A suggestion for you EddieT could to join one of the 2 big camping organisations The Caravan club or the camping and caravan club (I know they have changed their names just lately but you know who I mean). Why I hear you ask I don't want to stay with dozens of vans and barking children and screaming dogs !!!! Both clubs also do what are generally called 5 van sites. These are farms homes and businesses that have a little field maybe with/without toilets ,with/without electicity but with something unique. This might be in the middle of a working farm, the middle of nowhere or near to somewhere. As the name suggests it is a tiny site usually quiet and cheap. It's not often that you can have a very fresh egg or 2 for brekfast or fresh veg for your tea(that you may have picked yourself). The other thing is that you are helping afarm/individual survive by paying them rather than a consortiumViewDate:

Plan a caravan holidayI am afraid I must point out a small problem that I noticed from the editoral. In travelling abroad in your leisure vehicle be it caravan or motorhome there is a vast difference in the places you can visit. In Europe 99% of caravans must stay on camp sites and pay their fees and then use your tow vehicle to see the sights. With a motorhome you are able to park on a site and pay their fees BUT you are also allowed to "wild camp" (as shown in the photo) and pay very little or no fees at all. Wild camping is as it sounds camping in the wild with no or little ammenities, like electricity, shops, showers and toilets. Every thing you want, you have to provide your self and you have to provide your own security. In the middle of nowhere you have to be able to cope with what life throws at you. In the many years Liz and I have motorhomed we have done most things sites, aires middle of nowhere and on the beach miles from anywhere. You have to ask yourselves what you want from your holiday and then buy your equipment to match your wants. A huge American RV will give you all the luxuries you need/want but will not get you down those narrow lanes to the sites with WOW Factor either from views or isolation. On line travel blogs are a great way of finding how someone else, maybe with similar views to you, has done it.ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hi there My name is Paul and my wife is Liz. We live in northamptonshire.Retired HGV driver and Liz is retired stable owner. Every morning when we wake up we realise that it's a good start and the day usually gets better. We are Motorhomers and have an old van parked in the driveway and I'mstarting to feel the need to get it ready for our next adventure (when someone opens the gates again). I'm a night bird after 25 years of working nights can't seem to get my body clock to work properly. Hopefully we will be accepted on here, we don't have radical views but I am classed as a gruppy old man by our 5 grandchildren and I am British and quite proud of it.ViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts? If you want to know about charities failings.Type in Google "Red Cross funds after 9-11". Their failings are astounding,as are their leaders some just short of $500,000. While we are talking about GOOGLE has anybody had a look at their pictures when you type in "black couple" and then see what comes up when you type in "white couple.Cheers
