Sorry, I keep losing this thread! There must be an easier way! I travel with P&O but evenso it's costly as a solo. I'm not sure I'll manage to afford another one. We had the alcohol free wine to as I'm not supposed to drink with one of my heart medications. I had a heart attack last summer but I'm fine now. My daughter and family are coming to anglesey at the weekend for half term hols. I .might go to southampton at Easter. It's a pity there isn't a safe way to send my email address as it would make this much easier! Lol take care Vanessa

Sorry! Only just found your reply! I had a good Xmas in Southampton and agree about the prices in the Market. Cost me a small fortune for some fudge my grandson wanted. I’ve just returned from a cruise round the Canaries. Lovely to escape the UK in January! It’s the ideal way to travel as a solo with others to meet up with in the same position. I flew from Manchester to Tenerife to join the ship. However, I have also sailed from Southampton to the Fiords. Ideal for me as my daughter can drop me at the port. I note you were in the Army, I was in the Air Force 1969-1973 and trained as a nurse. Spent some of my time in Germany at RAF Wegberg. Good morning from dismal Anglesey. I note that you're in Hampshire, I'm originally from Southampton but moved here 22 yrs ago. We're a similar era, so I wonder if we frequented the same venues in the 60's? I love listening to Boom Radio and singing along (very badly!). It keeps me and my little dachshund company after being widowed 2 yrs ago. My daughter and her family are still in Southampton, so I'm spending Xmas there.
