If you were American would you vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?Go Donald! America and the world need him. Someone who is NOT in the pocket of the rich establishment and someone who is not afraid to state what every sane person is thinking. Our world is in a mess because we have allowed PC/Liberalism to take away all logic, responsibility and accountability. It is time we redress this and face the errors of past policies that place individual rights above the state and the people. We need strong leaders who can take us out of this quagmire of liberalism.ViewDate:

Fibromyalgia in the over 50sA pity that we rarely visit this site and are therefore not always aware of posts. I would like to suggest to the moderators that they create a notification system by email so that we know when someone has posted on a forum we are involved in.ViewDate:

Who would be the best leader for the Labour Party? Our country is in a crisis politically speaking! Labour is a mess and faces a split. They had the greatest opportunity to elect a decent leader years ago but what did they do? Ed Milliband!!! Holy Moly!!!! Then Corbyn......could it get worse? Yes.....Eagle. PLEASE get your act together. We need a decent opposition and if you cant do the job get out. The Tories have missed the point and have enriched the elite at the expense of the poor. Our great hope, Nigel has gone and what do we mere mortals now have to fight for us?Teresa May? I doubt it.ViewDate:

Fibromyalgia in the over 50sSo guess what? Our application for PIP was refused OUTRIGHT. Despite medical proof over a period of 3 years and letters from 3 GP's and 4 Psychiatrists. Wrote to my MP and Capita will now re-assess. BUT...we still have to do the re-consideration letter and the appeal if that does not work. This government has seriously screwed everyone who is in need.ViewDate:

What if Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination this July?Well said wigsy. Too many PC/Liberal lilly-livered tree huggers who need to get a grip. Now they want to ban tackles in school rugby too? What are we raising a generation of sissies who cannot lose or take the kits that life throws at them?ViewDate:

English GrammarI have been married to an English teacher for 38 yrs and I also have numerous qualifications in TEFL/TESOL etc etc . I absolutely hate the way that English is murdered daily in the UK. There are so few places one can go where it is properly spoken these days and even less where it is used correctly. Mr Higgins in My Fair Lady was oh so right...Why can't the English each their children how to speak? If WE do nothing about it...... who will?? Chinglish etc is being accepted as a new dialect....I ask you! I can't understand a word people from Glasgow or Fife say. Even Brummies and Newcastle.....is that English?ViewDate:

Breaking Up Is Hard To DoHi All Firstly , please state where you are from. It is ridiculous to try to start a relationship with someone who lives in Europe if you live in the USA. I am 62 and care for my wife (of 38 yrs) full time. We live in Huntingdonshire UK. I too would like to chat to people from around here and even further afield just to fill the loneliness. I am struck by the repeated use of that word in these forums. Loneliness. And I ask myself WHY? Why are we all so lonely at this age? Surely the maturity and life lessons have taught us enough so that we do not need to play an elongated dating game? Let;s get to the point and state what we want. wpshark@gmail.comViewDate:

Should Britain stay in the EU or is now the time to leave?I do not understand how people in this country just keep voting either Tory or Labour. We have seen that Labour is disintegrating and under Milleband it almost reached destruction. Corbyn is a divisive figure and as things stand there will be no Labour to contest another election. The Tories have ripped the heart out of this country by taxing the poor and needy and enriching their buddies. They have introduced the most ridiculous punitive taxes (bedroom tax) that have caused nothing but misery and people to commit suicide because they can't cope. IDS and Camoron should be tried for murder. The ONLY answer is a totally fresh and new perspective and stance . One that looks at Britain and its people firstly. One that will stop the influx of illegals and asylum seekers, One that will end the millions lost to the EU and other PC action groups. This is my appeal to all of you to save this once great country.....vote UKIP. PLEASE>ViewDate:

DatelineLOL I agree and have numerous arguments about this. You do not start counting from 0. Your first birthday is not the 0 but the 1st. So EVERY millennium starts on a 1. The very first year AD was year 1 not 0. So count from 1 and the first millennium ended on 1000. The next started in 1001 and ended 2000 not 1999. Simple!ViewDate:

Local council fundingCamoron ( spelling intended) and his companion IDS have totally ruined the Care sector, Every person I speak to from local councillors to care workers , is sick and tired of cuts and taxes. It is a terrible that this govt wastes millions on illegals and the EU but would apply a punitive Bedroom Tax of those that are the most needy and vulnerable.ViewDate:

Where do you find people to chat with, keep you going, make your day a little better etc.?I have a huge problem with all these community groups and meetings in the village hall.......they are all old people!! Hell, I am 62 but feel 32. I don't want to sit there discussing my arthritis or knee replacement over a weak cuppa. Is there anybody out there who feels the same?ViewDate:

Fibromyalgia in the over 50sHi. I care for my wife 24/7 and she has severe Fibro (as well as Bipolar/Schizoaffective Disorder and Osteo). The fibro can be extreme and keep her in bed for days/weeks. She is now right in the middle of a 10 day pain fest. The trouble is that she cannot take pain medication as it reacts with her Lithium tablets. I would appreciate any advice on what pain meds are effective for your fibro It just gets me that this idiotic government is punitively taxing us with the Bedroom Tax even though we have submitted medical proof that we cannot share a bed as any touch is excruciating. By the way she is 61 and I am62ViewDate:

What if Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination this July?My daughter lives in Montana and for years now there has been a steady build up of anti-Obama and anti-Democrats. Much of the feeling is about looking inwards and making the USA great again. The average American living outside of the cosmopolitan areas is supporting Trumps strong stance. I think he will win the nomination and hopefully defeat Hiliary. I mean really? Another Clinton?ViewDate:

Do you support a 'sugar tax' to help tackle obesity?I am sick and tired of being told what to eat and what to drink and how much of this etc etc. For over 30 years we were scared into believing that butter was bad for you and margarine good. Now it emerges that margarine is bad and butter good. My choices have been removed and I am now forced to buy Orange squash that has "no sugar added". Why? If I want the good tasting product then surely my rights as a consumer should be respected. This PC/liberal/do-good society has gone way over the top.ViewDate:

What style party leader TV debate would you like to see? These debates are a waste of time and money. It is the same as PM's Question time. A farce and a clown show where people try to score points at the expense of another person. They should rather be gives a set of topics and each allowed 10 min to explain their policies on that. Then let THE PEOPLE judge.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsHi Kaye, I fully agree with you. There is little or no support or advice. The Govt has messed up the DWP and the Benefit system to such an extent that the people who are most needy and poor, are the ones penalised and "mis-treated". I care for my wife 24/7 but all we can get is a measly £173/week. We were refused PIP and Carer's allowance because we worked abroad for 2 years. Yes British Citizens are refused but millions are paid out to illegals and asylum seekers. My vote will definitely not go for the mainstream parties.ViewDate:

Older voters to be guaranteed free bus passes and TV licences! The only problem that I have with Cameron et al is that they are stealing from the needy and poorest to fund their rich Etonian cronies. The Bedroom Tax is a travesty of justice and the shambles in the DWP has caused thousands of disabled and needy people much strife. Ed Miliband is NOT an option......can you imagine him representing our country? What we need is a total change, away from all the old - boy clubs, with people who are more realistic in power. UKIP is more like that but still need to grow. So, in my humble opinion, we will have a Tory/UKIP coalition.ViewDate:

Is it important to know how to use grammar correctly?Whatever happened to "standards"? We have dumbed down to such an extent that even our language is now "politically correct". Shame, you can't let the little children fail because it just might scar them. Oh Please!
