A look back at the best sitcoms of the 70sI really liked the Liver Birds - I was in awe of 2 young women living in a flat on their own and being independent. They started off in a bedsit then upgraded to a flat. It was all innocent fun nothing offensive. Another favourite was On the Buses I used to feel sorry for Olive. In todays eyes it was extremely sexist but again done in good humour.ViewDate:

From the first Baby Burco to the Rev-Robe suitcase: 8 mid-century items every household hadWe never had Xmas pudding but always clootie dumpling - my mum used a muslin cloth to boil it in and the tongs from the washing machine to lift it out and check it until it was ready. I dont know if this was just a Scottish pudding? -
