Cherish's bio
I'm a widow and live in the northern suburbs of Athens Greece. Very recently retired from a long nursing career and not missing the daily routine at all. I enjoy reading and have a very enquiring mind finding gems of trivia. I intend to do some exploring of European countries now that I am free to do so, not anything too strenuous though. Forgot to mention I'm English, born and bred from the north. I like having conversations about anything, and I mean anything. At this moment in my life I want to have a quiet life and re charge my batteries so I can enjoy my retirement fully. -

English GrammarPersonally, I like to use punctuation marks . To me grammar is very important having said that, I'm not itching to correct other peoples' mistakes.ViewDate:

Are grandparents putting their grandchildren's health at risk?I totally disagree. Grandparents today are much more aware of "spoiling" their grandchildren. I find this article is a very negative picture of grandparents living in 2018. This might have been true in the 60's or 70's but the examples shown are the exception and not the norm.ViewDate:

Should more people give up eating meat?I dont think we should all give up meat entirely but cutting down to twice a week would help peoples health and global warming. It is a fact that intense farming of cattle, and the scale of it, is causing more to global warming than anything else, via the excrement and gases from the animals.ViewDate:

Can a relationship survive an affair?I consider trust to be one of the most fundamental things in a serious relationship. Once the trust has been broken it is almost impossible to recover. I personally believe that someone who has cheated will do so again.ViewDate:

Is marriage outdated?Yes, I think it is outdated. I think more emphasis should be put on a solid relationship and having a working partnership between 2 adults. People think more about the wedding and not about what comes after, making a relationship beneficial for both partners. Unless the couple are religious minded a wedding ceremony is not necessary, legal agreements can be drawn up just as easily and are very acceptable. -
