Retired and solvent, I have a desire to travel anywhere and have the time to do so! I have no children or pets so can go at the drop of a hat. I am like so many of us of a certain age (well, maybe not quite like!) in that I have friends and family at home but no travelling companion and none of my friends are in a position to travel as I am. I have everything in life I have worked for, lovely home, sports car, motorbikes, no commitments and a narrowboat moored on the canal in Surrey. What I don't have is someone to go away with and I have such a yearning to travel. I am articulate and intelligent. I am a part-time t-girl (about 10% of the time) and happy to holiday in drab (male mode) or dressed. I am happy to consider either a female or male travelling companion. I recently went on a 2 week cruise to the Caribbean but didn't really have a good time alone. I am partially sighted which has it's restrictions (reading menus, driving etc.) and although I can cope on my own it is so much nicer to share experiences with someone. There are so many places in the world I have never been and would like to, I am open to offers! I don't exclude UK holidays either, there is a lot of this island I have never traveled. I like the idea of exploring the UK in a motorhome too. I am unusual I know but I am not weird - maybe a bit odd but not weird! Post Script: A few people have written to me and have not quite understood what the term 't-girl' means. I am sorry ,that is my fault for assuming it was a widely understood term. I am a man, I occasionally like to dress in women's clothes which I do quite openly. The terms transvestite and crossdresser seem to have a different meaning to each person so I used the generic term of t-girl. There was no intent to deceive and I am sorry some people have misunderstood.
P.P.S. I think I may have made a mistake is an effort to be honest about myself. I have a feminine side which I like to hang clothes on and I find it fun. I am not a closet trally wearing ladies underwear under men's clothes. To me it is just dressing up and a bit of fun - it' could be worse.... I could be a Morris dancer! It is a part of me but only a small part. I am happy to be in male mode with anyone on holiday, there are parts of the world where I would not even consider dressing up anyway. I think my honesty has backfired on me!

I was a civil servant for 12 years, worked for a charity for 16 years, I have fostered 50 children, I had a guide dog when I worked in London, I have been a chef, renovated 2 houses, ridden motorcycles in competition and been a landlord. I have may facets!

I have had significantly more success finding travelling companions via Gumtree than on here, that may be because this site is so difficult to use or for another reason. About 75% of the Gumtree responses were not worth following but I have found 3 very strong leads. I won't return here so please message to my rhoda1@sky.com e-mail if you wish to contact me.
