Teenage Urban 'slang'I do think that for the most part, I am on the same wave length as my grown up children, but I do draw the line at using some of their teenage 'slang' words ... If in doubt I always try and clarify what new random words mean! I know that their grandparents have difficulty understanding some of what they are talking about, and get very irritated by the word "like" which seems to be used in most sentences!!ViewDate:

50 Shades of Grey ... Have you been able to resist the hype?Yes .. I have to admit I have read all three much earlier in the year! Much to my teenage children's horror! Now their friends are reading the first Fifty Shades of Grey and asking if they can borrow my book? Yes there is a lot of hype, but if you don't read them yourself you won't know what all the fuss is about!ViewDate:

Where do you go to find a recipe?I have to say I am a bit like you! I find it much quicker to google a recipe as my computer is always switched on, and my book shelf is so full I can't easily access the recipes I want. Also most celebrity chefs have websites so I know I can find a recipe that I may have seen on TV. I do have one fave book though .. probably my oldest Delia Smith 'bible' that I always refer to for basic recipes like scones, pancakes and crumble! :-) -
