Now retired after working for forty-seven years, I think I've done enough. Married to my soul maybe, Bill, and we have a lovely daughter. My claim to fame is that I recently published a book! It started as a project for my daughter to tell her about my parents very special relationship as sadly, she never knew them. But, the project grew to book size and my daughter and husband encouraged me to publish.
My father served for thirty-three years in the British Army. His last posting was to Germany in 1953. Mum was a German national working at the BAOR HQ as a secretary. They met one fateful day when mum was rushing through the building to deliver some urgent paperwork. Dad was coming in the opposite direction and they bumped into one another. For dad, it was love at first sight. He pursued mum by letter. It's a wonderful love story. Along with the narrative are lots of photos and documents. -

Win a fully stocked Shavekit box!Oh this would be so funny to win. Been married to my hubby for 35 years and together nearly 40 years. Never, ever have I seen him clean shaven. He looks like Santa now. He does shave around the edges now and again but has always had a moustache or beard. My mother was a Berliner and my father served 33 years in the British Army - True Love Conquers All. Not been back for quite a few years now.
