Playground MemoriesI was on a swing, age about 6/7, I was going very high (as usual) when I fell off! No problem you would think, I sat up only for the swing to swing back and clonk me straight on the head! next thing I knew was in the back of an ambulance! I ended up with 2 stitches right on the hairline above my right eye. A lucky escape I feel!ViewDate:

Older grandchildren who never say Thank Your for Christmas or Birthday chequesI am sorry to hear this, but if the nephews are over 21 , I honestly wouldn't bother anymore, if they can't thank you. I would tell their parents that you are no longer sending them money, with out any further information, and if they then question you, tell them why. In this day and age teenagers and those in their 20s don't value their older relatives like we used to. X XViewDate:

It is not as though hoards of people turn up at once, as in supermarkets, and most people have a garden centre within a few miles of their home, probably no further, to some, as their nearest supermaket.ViewDate:

The English question: What is the nation's identity?I am an English Londoner and proud of that, even tho' I don't live in London any more. The youngsters are taught in school that every one is the same (good) but then are not taught about English/British history in general so have no idea what it means to be English or any other nationality, living in Britain. Schools are so busy trying to hit "targets" they are failing the children.ViewDate:

Do you buy free range eggs?As a business, we but free range and are lucky to have a farm within 4 miles, so we buy theirs. We also do look for a good price, currently £1.50 per dozen. Our customers do say they taste very good!
