Father’s Day Feline Style

Here is another witty poem written by Teresa Harrison-Best, with her take on Father’s Day, as viewed by three cats!

Fathers Day Feline Style

Our dad was most excited,
Mum promised him some steak.
She bought a juicy sirloin,
perhaps a big mistake.

We saw the little package,
just sitting on the side.
The smell was so enticing,
we gathered as a pride.

Mum left the room for something,
the steak became fair game.
We jumped onto the counter,
without a sense of shame.

The steak was gone in seconds,
three cats had seen to that.
Mum came in to find us,
all bloated and now fat.

Dad returned much later,
for his splendid sirloin meal.
Instead he got fish fingers,
a really crummy deal.

We think we’re now forgiven,
as dad’s given us a stroke.
Our honorary feline father
and a really decent bloke!
