Introducing: Morrisons Meet Ups
If you’re part of a community organisation, such as a craft club, charity group or book club, you may find it useful to know that we’re introducing free meeting spaces for community groups in our Morrisons Cafes.
Offering seating for up to twenty people, our new service allows community groups to meet on a regular basis, without having to pay to hire a venue – something that research has shown can cost organisations around £20 for a one hour slot.
The meeting spaces are located in our Morrisons Cafes, meaning groups will have all the delicious dishes and drinks available at our cafes within easy reach. Eight of our stores across the UK are also able to offer a more private meeting space in the form of a ‘boardroom’ style for no extra cost. We’ll also be adding more stores to the list of those that can offer private meeting space over the coming year, so be sure to keep an eye out if this is something your group could benefit from.
To book one of our spaces, all you need to do is speak to your local stores Community Champion. You can do this by email should you wish. Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to get in touch if you want to make the most of the space available.
Helen Tordoff, our Head of Cafes at Morrisons said: “We’ve seen more groups use our café spaces as meet up areas so we’re delighted to formalise the offering and make it even easier for local communities to come together over a cup of tea and great food.”
The spaces will be available from 9am to 11am and 2pm until the cafe closes every weekday.
