Fuss Free Heating That Lowers Your Bills
It is estimated that there are two million homes in the UK with outdated storage heaters which could be replaced by Dimplex Quantum, and it was the perfect choice for Mr & Mrs Paget when they upgraded their living room heating in their four-bedroom home in rural Herefordshire.
Like thousands of electrically heated households across the UK, the couple chose Dimplex’s unique Quantum off-peak heater to replace an electric storage heater as it delivers controllable heat when it is needed whatever time of day or night.
The heater draws energy during cheaper, off-peak periods and uses innovative advances in technology and insulation to ensure heat is available on demand. For the Paget family, it also means a more comfortable living environment at the touch of a button, thanks to an intelligent, easy-to-use controller which monitors the user’s heating habits.
Crucially, it will also mean lower heating bills for the family of five. Dimplex Quantum is proven to deliver significant cost savings compared to conventional storage heaters. Calculated using SAP 2012 – the only Government approved energy performance assessment method – Quantum Heaters are up to 27% cheaper to run than a standard storage heater system offering a potential saving of £412 per year in running costs for a typical three-bedroom home built to 1960s Building Regulations standards.
Mr Paget said: “We put it on for an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon to take the chill off the room and it does not run out in the evenings like the old storage heater.”
Quantum is also much easier to use, with full control of the heating and a child lock function, ideal when grandchildren are playing in the living room.
The Paget family used local plumbing, heating and bathroom installer GSR Heating to fit the Quantum QM100 heater.
Robert Caskey, senior heating engineer at GSR Heating, said: “We have installed many Quantum heaters and continue to be impressed by the results they deliver. Time after time homeowners are amazed by how easy they are to use and – most importantly – the money they can save.”
