Clever uses for self-adhesive Command™ hooks
Self-adhesive Command™ hooks can do a lot more than hang decorative frames on your living room wall.
These small, versatile hooks can help keep you organised all over the home, and because they don’t involve a hammer and nails, can be used by just about anyone, and they remove cleanly – no holes, marks, sticky residue or stains.
Here are a few of our favourite clever uses for adhesive command hooks.
Hide cables
Plastic hooks can be cleverly and discreetly attached to the back of a desk or table to help secure wires in place and hide them out of sight. This works especially well on decorative tables – like an entryway table – where you might have a lamp but want to keep the cord as hidden away as possible.
Organise pots and pans
Securing a couple hooks to the inside of a cupboard door is a useful solution to the problem of pot lids that never seem to have a rightful place in the kitchen. Set up the hooks so they hold a lid into place, with one hook on each side making four corners.
Hang a curtain rod
If you’re living in a rented property where you can’t make any permanent changes, command hooks make the job easy. You can use several to hang a curtain rod or use them to hang photographs and other artworks around the home.
Organise mixer attachments
If you’re a keen baker with a standing mixer, you know finding a home for the various attachments can be an organisational headache. Try putting command hooks on the inside of your pantry cupboards – each hook can support a different attachment and will mean you have everything to hand just when you want it.
Hang wreaths
Come Christmas season command hooks will help you hang a wreath from the door without damaging it. Hide the hook upside down on the back of a door, then hang the wreath using a ribbon or wire.
