Sign Heart Valve Voice’s petition and help save lives from heart disease
This year, for Heart Valve Disease Awareness Week 2022, UK heart valve disease charity Heart Valve Voice are petitioning the Government to increase funding for the diagnosis and treatment of severe aortic stenosis.
Heart Valve Disease is a common, serious, but treatable condition that affects over 1.5 million over 65s in the UK. There a roughly 200,000 people with severe aortic stenosis, and without treatment they will die within five years.
Heart valve voice are asking Government to increase funding and introduce a priority pathway, like there are for many cancers, which will ensure those people get the treatment they need and stop unnecessary lose of life.
Heart Valve Voice Executive Director, Wil Woan, said “Research released earlier this year brought into light the scale of this aortic stenosis epidemic, and without proactive work now people will die. At Heart Valve Voice we have spoken to families who have lost loved ones to this serious condition, and something needs to be done now so that nobody else loses someone they love. Please sign our petition today and help us save lives from heart disease.”
