Many places are experiencing extreme flooding at the moment, with 800 properties across England affected by rising water levels and further wet weather predicted over the next 48 hours.
Despite flood warnings, many people have to continue with normal life as best they can, and this could involve having to go out in the car. When there’s severe weather, it’s best to keep your car parked, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.
If you are driving during floods, preparation is key – that means planning a route, packing an emergency kit and being ready for every eventuality. If your area is affected but you still need to drive, follow these tips to make sure you’re as safe as you can be.
