It’s the beginning of the year of the dog this Chinese New Year, so now might just be the time to finally learn how to use chopsticks properly.
You’re not alone if, after attempting to whisk noodles into your mouth with the pesky, fiddly things, you’ve found your waiter or waitress come over unprompted to intervene with a knife and fork. But there’s a knack to chopsticks, and once you’ve got it, no noodle will ever evade you again.
Here, Steve Mangleshot, executive chef at Wagamama, demonstrates the right way to eat with chopsticks and how to avoid any embarrassing faux pas.
