The royal couple married on 20th November, 1947 at Westminster Abbey.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh celebrated 73 years of married life last year.

Their enduring relationship lasted the longest of any British sovereign.

Philip was at the Queen’s side throughout the decades on royal duty.
