10 ways to eat Yorkshire Puddings

Each February, the first Sunday of the month is designated British Yorkshire Pudding Day. But aside from gracing your roast beef, how else can you put these scrumptious puds to good use?

1. With gravy

Yorkshire puddings and gravy

It’s traditional to fill them with gravy for a reason – they’re delicious.

2. With eggs

They make great hollows for baked eggs.

3. As toad-in-the-hole

Warm, fluffy and chock full of sausages, what’s not to love? Also, it’s an excuse for more gravy.

4. In wrap form

Apparently, the Yorkshire pudding rolls up pretty neatly.

5. The ‘Yorkie poutine

This Canadian take on the Yorkshire Pudding involves filling it with chips, meat, gravy and cheese.

6. With ragout

Forget spaghetti, here’s mince in a Yorkshire pudding.

7. As a starter

Planning a three course meal? How about a Yorkshire pudding starter with apple and sage gravy? Yum!

8. With haggis

With Yorkshire Pudding Day coming hot on the heels of Burns Night,  why not combine the two?

9. As pudding

Of course, they don’t have to be savoury. Pudding in a pudding, anyone?

10. Dunked in Nutella

As if you were ever in need of an excuse to eat Nutella…

So whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner, starter, main or pudding, there’s a Yorkshire Pudding out there for you.
