Portsmouth Historic Dockyard has launched four new walking routes in their iconic ships and museums and are offering Silversurfers users 10% off annual tickets until 31st July 2024.
The Portsmouth-based team got together a group of active adults aged 60+ and Olympian Roger Black to develop a series of walking routes, including: Trafalgar Trail where you can explore HMS Victory, Victory Live and the Victory Gallery. Submarine Saunter, where you can experience life onboard Britain’s only remaining Second World War submarine, HMS Alliance. Mary Rose March, where you can step back into Tudor England, and test your arm muscles with a spot of archery. Warrior Walk where you can put your sea legs to the test and step aboard the pride of Queen Victoria’s fleet.

The Mary Rose: After laying on the bottom of the Solent for 437 years, King Henry VIII’s flagship the Mary Rose was raised in October 1982 alongside 19,000 objects. You can venture back in time over 500 years with this incredible Tudor time capsule.
HMS Warrior: One of the world’s first iron-hulled, armoured warships launched in 1860 as the pride of Queen Victoria’s navy it never fired a shot in anger yet changed naval warfare forever.
As well as, HMS M.33, the only surviving ship from the Gallipoli campaign; The National Museum of the Royal Navy Portsmouth, where you can hear the stories of Naval personnel about their life in the Royal Navy now and how they are still at the forefront of exploring the ocean; HMS Alliance at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, where you can a peek see, hear and even smell how life was lived underwater; Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower, home to a unique collection that includes torpedoes and modern missiles; Harbour Tours and a free waterbus to our Gosport attractions.
