I grasped a whisper from the wind, that passed across my ear,
And found a message from a friend, that I had loved so dear,
A message of contentment of everlasting peace,
And a ‘thank you’, here within it, for a merciful release.
I listened to that whisper as the wind blew gently by,
As barely nought was stirring there, all but this gently sigh,
A loved one spoke so lowly as darkness chased the light,
`I loved you then, I love you now, with all my eternal might`.
I heard the angels singing within that gentle breeze,
A triumph to the heavens that circled in the trees,
That gentle whisper told me, ‘do not shed your tear’,
‘But look towards the whispered wind, and you will find me here’.
‘No worry should become you, no fear should bend your brow,
This place is my contentment, my happiness is now,
For all we had as human and all for peace of mind,
Is here, we bring it with us, -it is never left behind’.
I know now what that whisper meant, I know what life should be,
A life to live, a life to love, that is our destiny,
No greed or avarice should blind, no gluttony displease,
A message from a whisper, borne on a gentle breeze.
