Life and Mobility in Shepton
Hi everyone I'm new to the Silversurfers site and just want to say a massive thankyou to Life & Mobility Solutions inside Haskins Department store in Shepton Mallet, who have had the faith and foresight to offer me a management position at the ripe old age of 65.
So many employers turned their back on me as I got older and wondered if I'd ever again find a decent job with a future and prospects. Now here I am managing their Shepton showroom and helping out other elder and disabled members of our local community.
Anyone who knows me, may be aware that I am a former TV and radio presenter, who has presented live chat and music shows over the years but as with so many broadcasters, when you pass a 'certain age' you are paid-off and put out to pasture! It would be nice to chat with others who have faced similar experiences. Ross Hemsworth
