Our Queen, Our Guiding Light

Our Queen, Our Guiding Light

We felt as if we knew you
Our ever-present Queen
You served your country lovingly
And are held in high esteem

In our hearts you were immortal
Our constant stay, our shining light
Our tears could fill an ocean
In our memories we hold you tight

You sent us all a rainbow
As you lay your head to rest
So symbolic and so warming
You simply were the best

The love for your nation
Shone brightly from your face
The biggest heart, our guiding light
That nothing can replace

You were our inspiration
We salute you, our dearest Queen
Such strength and dedication
That the world has ever seen

Rest now with your beloved Philip
He has called his Lilibet home
Together again for eternity
May your hearts be free to roam
