Batten Down The Hatches

Batten Down the Hatches

Storm Eunice is on its way my friends
So batten down the hatches
Secure your garden furniture
And make safe those wobbly latches

A day for sure to stay indoors
If you do get the chance
Whilst Storm Eunice sweeps across the land
In its flamboyant, majestic dance

The swirling, sweeping waves of wind
Will wreak havoc on their way
Thank goodness such unique events
Don’t often have their day

Power cuts and fallen trees
May cause chaos for a while
Charge those phones and laptops
We will get through this with style

Look out for those around you
Let them know that others care
There’s comfort to be found, just knowing
That someone is always there

The wind will blow and bellow
It will roar with all its might
But we must keep our heads my friends
Everything will be all right
