Family, The Oyster’s Pearl
Family, the Oysters Pearl
Memories, our lifeline
0ur passage to the past
Some haunting, some warming
Of days gone by too fast
Family time, so special
The oyster’s pearl
Hugging and chatting
My mind’s thoughts in a whirl
When young we rush to grow and leave
The trappings of the nest
Nurtured by the ones we love
So that we can do the rest
Our parents, on a pedestal
Invincible we think
The passing years erodes that dream
Our hearts begin to sink
Family, a precious gift
So please don’t take for granted
Not everybody’s lives
Are so happily enchanted
Friends can be your family
Our much-loved pets are too
Bound not by blood, but rich in love
And want the best for you
Family, the light within the darkness
The pulse within our veins
When life feels rough and times are tough
It’s why our happiness remains
To love and be loved
Is the greatest gift of all
With friends and family by your side
To catch you if you fall
