Remember Peter Pan
Remember Peter Pan
If we could turn the clock back,
To the years when we were small.
To remember how we used to be,
Before we climbed life’s wall.
Everything was new then,
Each day, new things to learn.
Your body getting stronger,
As each life page you turn.
Christmas’s and birthdays,
The special times you had.
With your brothers and your sisters,
And your lovely mum and dad.
Comics that you used to read,
Favourite games you used to play.
Snuggling down upon your pillow,
To await another day.
Friends you used to play with,
Having pets you loved so much.
Sweets that made your tongue go red,
Feeding rabbits in a hutch.
Dressing up on special days,
Imagining that you were brave.
Robin Hood or Wonder Woman,
You had a world to save.
Life was oh so simple all those years ago,
Until we became…a full grown woman …or a man.
Complete with trials and tribulations, and old age round the bend,
Just remember your childhood days, and believe in Peter Pan.
