Retailers are reporting that demand for loungewear and casual wear is on the up
Perhaps unsurprisingly the trend for more relaxed clothing has gained momentum in popularity as people across the country get used to working from home again and generally spending more time indoors.
Astonishingly the demand for casual gear has even outstripped the demand for sportswear, despite the many keep fit initiatives and the government’s repeated advice for us to stay physically active.
Who knew our baggy tops, joggers and cosy cardis were the latest thing? And with some great reasonably priced casual looks from high street brands, there’s nothing to stop us looking our best and feeling comfy with it, as we’d be bang on trend!

According to Google data, searches for ‘loungewear’ have increased by 119% in the past year, seeing a 140% spike in recent weeks. Most websites now have a whole section dedicated to Loungewear!
