With the vaccination programme under way, how likely are you to book a holiday this year?
It has been a year now since we first heard of Covid 19 and quite frankly we are all fed up to the back teeth with it. So, it’s not surprising that some of us are thinking ahead to our annual holiday.
And we’re not the only ones. Holiday adverts seem to be everywhere, enticing us to part with our hard-earned money with the promise of retreating to relaxing sunnier climes or embarking on new adventures, even if just for a week or two.
Nadhim Zahawi, the minister responsible for the vaccine rollout, told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “My absolute focus is to get to 13.9 million … offered a vaccine by the middle of February, that is my target and I’m confident the NHS has a plan and we will meet that target.”
The Prime Minister has pledged that the NHS is committed to offering a vaccination to everyone in the top four priority groups by Feb 15 so it looks likely that life could return to some kind of normality by the summer so is it time to consider taking holiday later in the year?
EasyJet has started their Sale today so it would seem that if you are prepared to book early then there are bargains to be had.
So with the signs of light at the end of a very long tunnel, are you likely to be booking a holiday this year? If you are, will it be in the UK or overseas?
